"YOU WANTED ACTION HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!" 

There was a meeting in Orlando on December 2, to discuss Senate bill 782. The bill is sponsored by Sen. Thrasher in the Senate and Rep. Dorworth in the House.

This is a bill that Accredited Insurance filed to put teeth into the Citizens Right to Know Bill. The first step was Citizens Right to Know, and this is the second step. We all are watching our businesses decrease, as Pretrial keeps growing. We have regulations and they need to have some too!

If we don’t do something, we will slowly go out of business. This is going to be a huge commitment on us all. As you know Pretrial’s goal is to do away with commercial bail, and my question is are we going to let them?

The meeting was to discuss if the parties present would help to pass this bill.

The meeting was attended by parties from Accredited Ins. Co., the FSAA, BAIL Florida, American Surety Ins. Co., AIA(Allegheny Casualty, International Fidelity, and Associated Bond), ABC( American Bail Coalition).

Every Agent, Association local or state, and Insurance Company will have to contribute funds for this to pass.

This is our livelihood. We must all be on the same page!
